Making readable spot illustrations

The company asked for a series of spot illustrations for the career landing page. 
The questions to ask oneself to find the right values for product illustrations are the same as for the other aspects of product development. Who is the target? What is the company's vision? How are they going to be perceived? What will they add to the message? 
The challenge was to add a warmer, more humane aspect to the rather technical textual messages.

They had to be visually pleasing of course, but their decorative quality balanced with the specific support of the message. 
The illustrations’ scalability led to a reduced level of detail but still conveying the message with clarity. Still the challenge was to make these images a bit more complex than just icons. On the other hand there was a goal to follow less is more principle, and to balance images with the transparency of current UI. The palette was based on and supported by the corporate brand guide.
